Georgia High School Softball - Islands topped by Villa Rica

The Villa Rica Wildcats softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Islands Sharks to 4 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Villa Rica moves its record to 18-3 on the year. The Wildcats host Chamblee (Chamblee, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Tuesday, October 3. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 19-3. Chamblee won 17-0 in their recent league game against M.L. King (Lithonia, GA)
In their next game, the Sharks play the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (Brooklet, GA) in a 4A Region 3 game, on Monday, October 2. Islands will attempt to move on its 1-12 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the game with a 9-6 record after their 19-7 non-league win over Metter (Metter, GA).
