The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) and the visiting Ashford Yellowjackets (Ashford, AL), saw Long's volleyball squad nip Ashford by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Long upgrades its record to 12-5 on the year. The Rebels host Goshen (Goshen, AL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-14.
The Yellowjackets now own a 16-6 record. They play next when they travel to Charles Henderson for a non-league bout on Monday, October 9.
