Texas High School Volleyball - Coronado tips Cooper

September 30, 2023: Lubbock, TX 79410

The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) and the visiting Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), saw Coronado's volleyball squad nip Cooper by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Coronado upgrades its record to 13-23 on the year. The Mustangs host Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to play the Plainsmen in a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, October 3. The Plainsmen go into the bout with a record of 18-20. Monterey won 3-2 in their recent league bout against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX)

The Cougars now own a 9-19 record. They play next when they travel to Lubbock-Cooper for a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, October 3. Cooper will play a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 23-11.
