In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Don Bosco Dons.
The Vikings (15-22) will now prepare for their battle against Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 8-10 record. In their last battle, Clear Lake was edged by Forest City (Forest City, IA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
