The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host English Valleys Bears to 1 in the Wolves non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wolves now have a 15-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mid-Prairie for a non-league game on Saturday, September 30. Winfield-Mt. Union will meet a Golden Hawks team coming off a 3-0 league win over Tipton (Tipton, IA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 20-2.
The Bears (11-11) will now prepare for their game against Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA). The Tigerhawks enter the South Iowa Cedar game with a 7-12 record. In their last game, Colfax-Mingo was nudged by Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
