West Virginia High School Volleyball - Parkersburg South edged by Parkersburg

The Parkersburg Big Reds held off the host Parkersburg South Patriots volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Big Reds now have a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Capital for a Mountain State test on Tuesday, October 3. Parkersburg will confront a Cougars team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Riverside (Belle, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 7-16.

The Patriots (10-10) will now prepare for their test against Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV). The Patriots enter the non-league test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Wheeling Park held off John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV), 2-0, in a league test.
