Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA) and the visiting Colonial Heights Colonials (Colonial Heights, VA), observed Mechanicsville's volleyball team top Colonial Heights by a tally of 3-0.

The Mustangs (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA). The Hawks enter the Capital contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, Hanover beat Henrico (Richmond, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Colonials meet the Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) in a Central contest, on Thursday, October 3. Colonial Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 4-5 record after their 3-2 league win over Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA).
