The Trion Bulldogs (Trion, GA) softball routed the host Christian Heritage Lions (Dalton, GA), 20-9 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Zion for a 1A D-II Region 7 outing on Tuesday, October 1. Trion will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 16-3 league loss to Bowdon (Bowdon, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-13.

With the loss, Christian Heritage moves to 6-14 on the season. The Lions travel to Dade County (Trenton, GA) to encounter the Wolverines in a 1A D-I Region 7 outing on Tuesday, October 1. The Wolverines come into the outing with a record of 19-5. Dade County won 6-0 in their recent league outing against Chattooga (Summerville, GA)
