In Monday's non-league match, the host Knob Noster Panthers softball team scored a tight 5-0 win over the Clinton Cardinals.

The Panthers (8-8) will now prepare for their match against Carrollton (Carrollton, MO). The Trojans come into the non-league match with a 16-0 record. In their last match, Carrollton nipped Lafayette County (Higginsville, MO), 15-0, in a non-league contest.

The Cardinals now hold a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Oak Grove for a Class 3 District 14 contest on Tuesday, October 1. Clinton will face a Panthers squad coming off a 10-2 league win over St. Michael the Archangel (Lee's Summit, MO). The Panthers record now stands at 15-5.
