The Riverton Hawks volleyball squad (Riverton, IL), was edged 2-1 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL)

With the win, Auburn improves its record to 9-12 on the season. The Trojans travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL) to encounter the Bluejays in a Sangamo battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Bluejays go into the battle with a record of 11-6. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central lost 2-0 in their recent league battle against Athens (Athens, IL)

The Hawks now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Illini Central for a Tomahawk battle on Tuesday, October 1. Riverton will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Hartsburg-Emden (Hartsburg, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 6-11.
