In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Martinsville Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Fleming Colonels.

The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Trojans come into the Piedmont challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Tunstall beat George Washington (Danville, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Colonels meet the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a Blue Ridge challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Fleming will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 10-0 record after their 3-0 league win over William Byrd (Vinton, VA).
