The Gordo Green Wave topped the visiting Pickens County Tornadoes volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Green Wave confront the Oakman Wildcats (Oakman, AL) in a 3A Area 9 game, on Tuesday, October 1. Gordo will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 7-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Winfield (Winfield, AL).

The Tornadoes (2-11) will now prepare for their game against South Lamar (Millport, AL). The Stallions go into the 1A Area 9 game with a 9-6 record. In their last game, South Lamar gained a win over Holy Spirit Catholic (Tuscaloosa, AL), 3-0, in a league game.
