With the win, Powell County improves its record to 18-7 on the season. The Pirates host Perry County Central (Hazard, KY) to encounter the Commodores in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 1. The Commodores go into the test with a record of 11-8. Perry County Central won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Owsley County (Booneville, KY)

The Bobcats now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Estill County for a District 56 test on Wednesday, October 2. Lee County will encounter a Engineers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Garrard County (Lancaster, KY). The Engineers record now stands at 9-10.
