Illinois High School Volleyball - Roxana over Southwestern

Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL) and the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), observed Roxana's volleyball team top Southwestern by a count of 2-0.

The Shells (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Gibault Catholic notched a victory over New Athens (New Athens, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Piasa Birds meet the Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) in a South Central contest, on Thursday, October 3. Southwestern will attempt to move on its 7-12 season record. The Hiltoppers enter the contest with a 12-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ).
