The Waite Indians volleyball squad (Toledo, OH), was edged 3-2 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Scott Bulldogs (Toledo, OH)

With the win, Scott improves its record to 5-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Woodward (Toledo, OH) to encounter the Polar Bears in a Toledo City battle on Wednesday, October 2. The Polar Bears go into the battle with a record of 3-5. Woodward lost 3-2 in their recent league battle against Start (Toledo, OH)

The Indians now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cardinal Stritch for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 1. Waite will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Toledo Christian (Toledo, OH). The Cardinals record now stands at 13-4.

Match Summary

The Lady Dogs met Waite across the river for their second meeting of the season. Both teams battled it out in the first, However Waite was able to hold the dogs off, even after a deficit come back by the Lady Dogs. In the First and Second sets, Scott showed some aggressive serving and swings from the outside by Ariana Turner and Liah Spearman with some blocking magic by their middles to win both.
Waite said it was not over as the teams inched back and forth in set 4, the Lady Indians pulling ahead for the 2 point win, however the Lady Dogs had an answer in the 5th returning to their aggressive serving and Pulling the Win in the 5th set.
