Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Dougherty Valley Wildcats (San Ramon, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Matadors (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Vista (Danville, CA). The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Monte Vista was beaten by Campolindo (Moraga, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to California for a test on Thursday, October 2. Dougherty Valley will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Carondelet (Concord, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 16-7.
