Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer squad nudge the host Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM), 1-0 in a non-league outing.

The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs go into the 5A District 5 outing with a 2-8 record. In their last outing, West Mesa was edged by Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 3-2, in a league outing.

Next up, the Tigers play the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) in a 4A District 1 outing, on Thursday, October 2. Aztec will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Broncos come into the test with a 7-4 record after their 7-0 league loss to Miyamura (Gallup, NM).
