Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) and the host Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA), observed Western Albemarle's volleyball team hold off Charlottesville by a count of 2-1.

The Warriors (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Orange County (Orange, VA). The Fighting Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Orange County was edged by Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Black Knights now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fluvanna County for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 2. Charlottesville will encounter a Flying Flucos squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Flying Flucos record now stands at 9-3.
