Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) and the visiting Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA), saw New Bedford's soccer squad knock off Barnstable by a count of 2-0.

The Whalers (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Greater New Bedford RVT (New Bedford, MA). The Bears come into the non-league match with a 9-1 record.

The Red Hawks now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Martha's Vineyard Regional for a non-league match on Thursday, October 2. Barnstable will meet a Vineyarders team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Monomoy (Harwich, MA). The Vineyarders record now stands at 6-3.
