North Carolina High School Soccer - Newton-Conover knocks off Bunker Hill

In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils soccer squad scored a tight 7-2 victory over the Bunker Hill Bears.
The Red Devils (13-1) will now prepare for their test against West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Warriors come into the Western Foothills 4A/5A test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, West Iredell was overwhelmed by Hickory (Hickory, NC), 9-0, in a league test.
The Bears now have a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Foard for a Western Foothills 4A/5A test on Thursday, October 2. Bunker Hill will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 7-1 league loss to East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 4-8.
