The Grimsley Whirlies soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host Ragsdale Tigers to 1 in the Whirlies league victory on Tuesday.
The Whirlies now hold a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Page for a Metro 6A/7A bout on Thursday, October 2. Grimsley will play a Pirates squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 4-8.
With the loss, Ragsdale drops to 11-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC) to encounter the Golden Eagles in a Metro 6A/7A bout on Wednesday, October 1. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Ben L. Smith won 2-1 in their recent league bout against Dudley (Greensboro, NC)
