Machias Bulldogs (Machias, ME) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Bulldogs (1-6) will now prepare for their outing against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME). The Knights go into the Class D - South outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Narraguagus got by Woodland (Baileyville, ME), 3-0, in a league outing.

In their next game, the Royals clash with the Narraguagus Knights (Harrington, ME) in a Class D - South test, on Tuesday, October 7. Jonesport-Beals will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 6-2 record after their 4-1 league win over Machias (Machias, ME).
