In Tuesday's league contest, the Marathon Olympians (Marathon, NY) soccer team routed the visiting Southern Cayuga Chiefs (Poplar Ridge, NY), by a count of 5-0.
Next, the Olympians battle the Groton Red Hawks (Groton, NY) in a Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC) contest, on Thursday, October 2. Marathon will attempt to upgrade on its 10-0 season record. The Red Hawks enter the contest with a 5-6 record after their 7-2 league win over Moravia (Moravia, NY).
With the loss, Southern Cayuga moves to 6-4 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Red Creek (Red Creek, NY) to encounter the Rams in a non-league challenge on Friday, October 3. The Rams go into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Red Creek lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Gananda Central (Walworth, NY)
