The Monett Cubs soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host McDonald County Mustangs to 0 in the Cubs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cubs now hold a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aurora for a Class 2 District 5 contest on Thursday, October 2. Monett will face a Houn Dawgs team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Cassville (Cassville, MO). The Houn Dawgs record now stands at 0-7.
The Mustangs (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS). The Dragons enter the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Pittsburg by Independence (Independence, KS), 4-3, in a league contest.
