In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Dougherty Trojans softball team scored a tight 1-0 win over the Mitchell County Eagles.
The Trojans (7-16) will now prepare for their match against Atkinson County (Pearson, GA). The Rebels come into the non-league match with a 5-11 record. In their last match, Atkinson County was nipped by Clinch County (Homerville, GA), 11-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Dougherty Trojans (Albany, GA) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 6. Mitchell County will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Trojans come into the match with a 7-17 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Atkinson County (Pearson, GA).
