The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders overwhelmed the host Perryville Pirates softball team by a margin of 17-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Crusaders now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jefferson for a Class 2 District 3 outing on Wednesday, October 1. Saxony Lutheran will encounter a Blue Jays team coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, MO). The Blue Jays record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Perryville moves to 0-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to Hancock (St. Louis, MO) to meet the Tigers in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 1-2. Hancock won 19-4 in their recent non-league test against Riverview Gardens (St. Louis, MO)
