North Carolina High School Volleyball - Alexander Central winner over McDowell

September 30, 2025: Taylorsville, NC 28681

The Alexander Central Cougars topped the visiting McDowell Titans volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a Northwestern 6A/7A game, on Thursday, October 2. Alexander Central will attempt to advance on its 13-4 season record. The Pioneers go into the game with a 18-1 record after their 3-0 league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).

With the loss, McDowell drops to 10-9 on the campaign. The Titans travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to play the Indians in a Northwestern 6A/7A outing on Thursday, October 2. The Indians come into the outing with a record of 6-10. St. Stephens won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
