The Appalachian Eagles tipped the host Pennington Tigers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league game.
Next up, the Eagles confront the Ragland Purple Devils (Ragland, AL) in a 1A Area 11 game, on Tuesday, September 30. Appalachian will attempt to advance on its 10-8 season record. The Purple Devils enter the game with a 6-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to St. Clair County (Odenville, AL).
The Tigers (14-17) will now prepare for their game against Cleveland (Cleveland, AL). The Panthers enter the non-league game with a 2-19 record. In their last game, Cleveland was tipped by Appalachian (Oneonta, AL), 2-1, in a non-league game.
