The Thunder (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Golden Valley (Merced, CA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Golden Valley was beaten by Atwater (Atwater, CA), 3-1, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) in a Central California Conference test, on Thursday, October 2. Merced will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Gauchos enter the challenge with a 14-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Los Banos (Los Banos, CA).
