Cascade Cougars (Turner, OR) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball team overcome the visiting Philomath Warriors (Philomath, OR), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Cougars (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Newport (Newport, OR). The Cubs enter the 4A Oregon West challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Newport was beaten by Stayton (Stayton, OR), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the North Marion Huskies (Aurora, OR) in a 4A Oregon West challenge, on Thursday, October 2. Philomath will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR).
