Texas High School Volleyball - Columbia Sweeny

Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Sweeny advances its record to 25-7 on the season. The Bulldogs host Needville (Needville, TX) to face the Bluejays in a 4A Region IV District 29 test on Friday, October 3. The Bluejays go into the test with a record of 32-4. Needville won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Calhoun (Port Lavaca, TX)

Next, the Roughnecks play the Brazosport Exporters (Freeport, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Friday, October 3. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 11-18 season record. The Exporters come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 3-1 league loss to Bay City (Bay City, TX).
