Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Warriors (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL). The Raptors enter the Southland challenge with a 14-8 record. In their last challenge, Rich Township beat Kankakee (Kankakee, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) in a Southland test, on Thursday, October 2. Thornton will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Blazing Trojan go into the test with a 5-13 record after their 2-0 league win over Thornridge (Dolton, IL).
