Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) and the visiting Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), observed Glenvar's volleyball team top Floyd County by a count of 3-0.

The Highlanders (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Martinsville was knocked off by Radford (Radford, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Buffaloes battle the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 6. Floyd County will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Colonels go into the battle with a 1-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA).
