Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR) and the host Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR), observed Kennedy's volleyball team top Gervais by a count of 3-0.

The Trojans (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Western Christian (Salem, OR). The Pioneers enter the 2A Tri-River contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Western Christian achieved victory over Sheridan (Sheridan, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Cougars now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santiam for a 2A Tri-River battle on Thursday, October 2. Gervais will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Regis (Stayton, OR). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-3.
