In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Lanier Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Holmes County Central Jaguars.

With the win, Lanier advances its record to 11-9 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Murrah (Jackson, MS) to face the Mustangs in a non-league test on Thursday, October 2. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 5-11. Murrah won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Forest (Forest, MS)

The Jaguars now sport a 0-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Florence for a Class 5A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, October 2. Holmes County Central will play a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league win over Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 17-5.
