Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Samson Tigers (Samson, AL) and the visiting Houston County Lions (Columbia, AL), observed Samson's volleyball team top Houston County by a count of 3-0.

The Tigers (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Zion Chapel (Jack, AL). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Zion Chapel notched a victory over Barbour County (Clayton, AL), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Lions encounter the Cottonwood Bears (Cottonwood, AL) in a 2A Area 2 battle, on Thursday, October 2. Houston County will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record.
