John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers (Birmingham, AL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Sipsey Valley Bears (Buhl, AL), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cavaliers (15-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Northport, AL). The Rams come into the 5A Area 9 challenge with a 27-2 record. In their last challenge, Northside beat Tuscaloosa Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL), 2-0, in a non-league game.

The Bears (11-11) will now prepare for their game against Holy Spirit Catholic (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Saints go into the non-league game with a 6-18 record. In their last game, Holy Spirit Catholic went down by Tuscaloosa Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
