With the win, Magoffin County improves its record to 5-7 on the season. The Hornets travel to Paintsville (Paintsville, KY) to encounter the Tigers in a District 57 battle on Thursday, October 2. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 18-10. Paintsville won 3-0 in their recent league battle against Martin County (Inez, KY)

The Wildcats now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fleming County for a District 61 battle on Thursday, October 2. Menifee County will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Robertson County (Mt. Olivet, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 7-18.
