Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights (Tyler, MN) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Murray County Central Rebels (Slayton, MN), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Knights (17-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Luverne (Luverne, MN). The Cardinals enter the non-league challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Luverne achieved victory over Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN), 3-1, in a league test.

The Rebels now own a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Springfield for a non-league test on Friday, October 3. Murray County Central will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 3-13.
