Kansas High School Volleyball - Southwestern Heights can't hold off Wichita County

September 30, 2025: Kismet, KS 67859

In Tuesday's league bout, the Wichita County Indians (Leoti, KS) volleyball team held off the host Southwestern Heights Mustangs (Kismet, KS), by a margin of 2-1.

The Indians now possess a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to Garden Plain for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 4. Wichita County will clash with a Owls team coming off a 2-0 league win over Conway Springs (Conway Springs, KS). The Owls record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Southwestern Heights drops to 9-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Syracuse (Syracuse, KS) to battle the Bulldogs in a Hi-Plains match on Saturday, October 4. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 15-5. Syracuse won 2-0 in their recent league match against Elkhart (Elkhart, KS)
