Helias Crusaders (Jefferson City, MO) followers left the game satisfied Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Rolla Bulldogs (Rolla, MO), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Helias advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Crusaders host Kickapoo (Springfield, MO) to face the Chiefs in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Chiefs go into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Bulldogs now sport a 0-1 record.

The Lady Sader's Freshmen Volleyball Team's first Home Match was a 3 Set affair. In Set 1, Helias would have little trouble with the Lady Rolla Bulldogs going up 17-7 after going through the serving rotation once. Helias would have 2 more servers finish out for the win 25-10. In Set 2, Rolla would not go away, and the Lady Sader's seemed to falter at key times during the long rally's by giving up the point. Rolla would come back after Helias had game & match point, to take the win 28-26. Helias would right the ship by coming back with better defense and hot serving. Rolla would have 3 servers total 2 points and Helias would have 3 servers total 12 points for a dominating win 15-2 for the set & match victory.
