In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Broughton Capitals (Raleigh, NC) soccer team edged the host Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC), by a count of 2-1.

Next, the Capitals battle the Heritage Huskies (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 9. Broughton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Huskies enter the contest with a 6-1 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Cleveland (Clayton, NC).
