The Midway Raiders soccer squad scored 10 points and held the host Union Spartans to 2 in the Raiders non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Raiders now hold a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lakewood for a non-league bout on Monday, September 9. Midway will play a Leopards squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Pender (Burgaw, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Union moves to 1-6 on the year. The Spartans host Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 5. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Heide Trask lost 4-1 in their recent non-league bout against Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC)
