In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Bath County Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Morgan County Cougars.

The Wildcats (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Vikings enter the District 61 challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Rowan County got by Morgan County (West Liberty, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the East Carter Raiders (Grayson, KY) in a District 62 challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Morgan County will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Raiders go into the battle with a 6-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY).
