In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Village Christian Academy Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Fayetteville Academy Eagles.

The Knights (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, NC). The Crusaders enter the NCISAA Sandhills Athletic challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Trinity Christian was beaten by O'Neal (Southern Pines, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Halifax Academy Vikings (Roanoke Rapids, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Independent challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Fayetteville Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC).
