In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Whittier RVT Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Georgetown Royals.

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Shawsheen Valley Tech (Billerica, MA). The Rams come into the Commonwealth Upper challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Shawsheen Valley Tech edged Greater Lawrence Tech (Andover, MA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Royals meet the North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA) in a Cape Ann challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Georgetown will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
