The Spartans (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against New Lexington (New Lexington, OH). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, New Lexington was edged by Maysville (Zanesville, OH), 7-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bulldogs meet the John Glenn Little Muskies (New Concord, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 6. Athens will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Little Muskies come into the test with a 5-0 record after their 0-0 league River View (Warsaw, OH).
