The Wasatch Wasps soccer squad scored 6 points and held the visiting Payson Lions to 0 in the Wasps league victory on Thursday.
The Wasps now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Pleasant Grove for a 5A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, September 9. Wasatch will play a Vikings squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork, UT). The Vikings record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Payson moves to 2-7 on the year. The Lions host Springville (Springville, UT) to face the Red Devils in a 5A Region 7 contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Red Devils enter the contest with a record of 8-2. Springville won 4-0 in their recent league contest against Salem Hills (Salem, UT)
