Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Centennial Cougars (Franklin, TN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Franklin, TN). The Admirals come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Cougars meet the Brentwood Bruins (Brentwood, TN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 9. Centennial will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Bruins go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Independence (Thompson's Station, TN).
