The Cherokee Bluff Bears tipped the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's league game.

Coming up next, the Bears clash with the Peachtree Ridge Lions (Suwanee, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, September 8. Cherokee Bluff will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA).

With the loss, Monroe Area drops to 2-17 on the campaign. The Purple hurricanes travel to Johnson (Gainesville, GA) to confront the Knights in a match on Tuesday, September 9. The Knights enter the match with a record of 0-1. Johnson lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Rabun County (Tiger, GA)
